First Resort closing   First Resort closing

Berl Tiskus/Valley Journal Jim Duford opened the First Resort in downtown Polson in 1970, and it’s been an anchor in the community since then. The store closed briefly in 1991 and then reopened in 1992 when Jim and daughter Tali Duford-Barron started it up again. Jim retired in 2014.  Now the landmark store is holding a closing sale, and owner Tali said the sale will continue through February.
