ST. IGNATIUS – The Bulldogs came away big at the Bob Kinney Classic on Saturday, pulling a first place win for the team and posting multiple top four finishers on the wrestling mats after securing match wins at the Bulldogs’ home mixer Thursday.
Bailey Wiebel, Jamie Mullins, Trent Dennison, Israel Umphrey, Gus Bosley, Steven Bravo and Chris Anderson grabbed match wins at home Thursday.
In Superior Saturday, Bulldogs posted a first place team score of 149 and saw three grapplers take home gold.
Jamie Mullins, Steven Bravo and Ethan Goss-Dickie all stood with raised hands as first place champions in their weight classes. Gregory Weatherwax came away with a second place finish while Bailey Weible, Gus Bosley and Emilio Bravo grabbed a bronze. Kyle Couture and Christopher Anderson placed fourth.
The Bulldogs will compete at the Noxon Duals Dec. 18 and then head to Corvallis Dec. 20.
