Justice of the Peace Randal L. Owens dealt with the following cases Nov. 18-24:
Jarrod Schaper, 49, pleaded guilty to partner or family member assault causing bodily injury to partner or family member, second offense. He was fined $300, charged $85 in court costs and sentenced to 365 days in jail with 335 days suspended.
Shirley Marie Skellenger, 55, pleaded guilty to failing to carry proof or exhibit insurance in vehicle, owner or operator, first offense. She was fined $500 with $250 suspended and charged $35 in court costs. Skellenger also pleaded guilty to failing to have child under 6 years old and less than 60 pounds properly restrained. She was fined $20 and charged $35 in court costs.
The following individuals were found guilty of speeding: Dusti Aileen Herring, 39; Marion Edwin Herring IV, 40; Jenniver K. Gikiere, 29.
Elliott James Parker, 23, forfeited a $50 bond and $35 in court costs for careless driving.
David William Acheson, 61, forfeited a $50 fine and $35 in court costs for operating with expired registration, failure to reregister.
Irene Mabel Yelenich, 78, forfeited a $50 bond and $35 in court costs for stop sign violation.
