Justice of the Peace Randal L. Owens dealt with the following cases May 28-June 6:

Steven Charles Vert Jr., 40, pleaded guilty to the amended charge of reckless driving, first offense. He was fined $20 and charged $35 in court costs and sentenced to 90 days in jail with 90 days suspended.

Taylor Scott Jackson, 24, pleaded not guilty to the amended charge of reckless driving, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $300 with $100 suspended and charged $35 in court costs and sentenced to 90 days in jail with 90 days suspended.

Jeramy Dale Combs, 34, pleaded guilty to failing to give notice of accident by quickest means/apparent damage over $1000, first offense. He was fined $200, charged $35 in court costs and sentenced to 20 days in jail with 20 days suspended. Combs also pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of accident resulting in property damage over $1000 without permission of law enforcement. He was fined $200, charged $35 in court costs and sentenced to 20 days in jail with 20 days suspended. Combs also pleaded guilty to the amended charge of reckless driving, second or subsequent offense. He was fined $100, charged $85 in court costs and sentenced to 365 days in jail with 355 days suspended. He may do the sheriff’s labor detail program.

Erick Leroy Knudsvig, 44, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle whose gross laden weight exceeds GVW shown on owner certificate. He was fined $50 and charged $35 in court costs. Knudsvig also pleaded guilty to operating a commercial motor vehicle without a commercial driver’s license, first offense. He was fined $250 and charged $35 in court costs.

Kevin S. Kerr, 57, forfeited a $50 bond and $35 in court costs for interfering with traffic while backing up.

Matthew C. Taecker, 35, forfeited a $50 bond for failing to stop at invasive species management area check station.

Robert Samuel Jennison, 41, forfeited a $200 fine and $35 in court costs for operating a commercial motor vehicle without a commercial diver’s license, first offense.

Daniel Lee Roan, 29, pleaded guilty to carless driving and was fined $50 and charged $35 in court costs.

David Scott Cheatham, 57, forfeited $50 and $35 in court costs for stop sign violation.

Tyler Thiede, 30, pleaded not guilty to obstructing a peace officer or other public servant. He was found guilty and fined $100, and charged $85 in court costs.

Paul Lane Walhood, pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $600 and charged $85 in court costs and was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 179 days suspended. He may do SLD or out of county at his own expense.

Ashley Renae Constenius, 28, pleaded not guilty to the amended charge of driving without a valid driver’s license. She was found guilty and fined $350 with $100 suspended, charged $35 in court costs and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 178 days suspended. Constenius also pleaded not guilty to careless driving. She was found guilty and fined $60 and charged $25 in court costs.

Brent Carl Hjelseth, 56, was found guilty of driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. He was fined $2000 with $1750 suspended, charged $35 in court costs and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 175 days suspended.

Todd A. Coutts, 55, forfeited a $50 bond and $35 in court costs for failing to stop at invasive species management area check station.

Richard Dee Bratton, 63, forfeited a $50 fine for careless driving.

Douglas Aaron Mienke, 21, forfeited a $75 bond for unlawful possession of open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle on highway.

The following individuals were found guilty of speeding: Joshua James Chiodo, 31, fined $120; Sheila Ann Leineweber, 41; Jennifer Isobel Kinber, 49, fined $105; Nathaniel Luke Smith, 35, fined $50; Amanda Rachael Lee, 23, fined $20; Amanda Louise Haworth, 26, fined $55; Rosanna Danna, 30, fined $20; Robert Korenberg, 66, fined $20; John Oliver Kimmel, 57; Rosemarie Town Strope, 78, fined $95; Steven Craig Peck, 54, fined $65.
