Editor,

To me, all this talk and controversy around “God’s will” is often misinterpreted and used inappropriately. For many, it is simply a way to use God as back-up to try to convince others of the great validity of their particular points of view on a particular issue.

I see this as totally missing the truth of the “who, what and why” about God.

God is. God has already done his work. It is now time for us, we the people, the human race, to do our work in harmony with God’s love, which has been imprinted within each of us. And the God-given imprint within each of us is so covered up with our ego-driven motivations coming from fear, anger, selfishness, judgment, depression, mistrust and confusion that his will often remains buried and unexpressed.

That is my view. And this sort of thing always makes for very interesting discussions; the type of discussions that test our very ability to remain calm and thoughtful in trying to follow “God’s will.”
