Editor,
The Greater Polson Community Foundation held its annual Passion for Polson Celebration Saturday evening, Aug.17. The Polson High School cheerleaders helped serve appetizers and dinner to our 150 guests, and several members of the Polson High School football team provided valet parking service. They were all cheerful, polite, and carried out their tasks as requested. They also stayed until dark helping us with the cleanup. Because of their willingness to help, this annual fundraising event went off without a “hitch.”
The teenagers assisting us were also a wonderful example to those attending the event. They showed us we really have great kids in our community. They, in turn, were with a group of adults who believe in the importance of “giving back” to the community by building an endowment fund, a savings account for future community needs.
Their willingness to be there made the event more successful and more meaningful. Thank you.
