Cabaret coverage missed

Editor,
I thought since Cabaret was on the weekend the local papers wouldn’t have time to publish anything until the following week. But it happened again, same as last year. Now I’m writing to complain –same as last year.
This year's Ronan Show Choir drew over 1,200 spectators to the sold-out three-day event.
When is the last time any kind of Lake County event was sold out? They were actually turning people away the last two nights and did the Valley Journal report on this? No. But is four weeks of marijuana articles garnishing four pages apiece what families want to read about? I think not. I don’t want to hear any more about this blight upon our county.
The families that attended and those that were involved with the festivities were part of something wonderful that has been going on for over 29 years and if you choose not to write about the goodness of this community, that’s your loss. For those of you that experienced the great show, I hope you enjoyed every last minute.
Maybe the writers for the Journal couldn’t get a ticket to the hottest show in Lake County. I’ll spring for one next year.
