Editor,

I support Rory Horning for Lake County Commissioner and I would like to take this opportunity to tell why he is highly qualified for this position. I could point to his experience as a Montana Real Estate Broker and that he served on the Board of Directors of the Northwest Montana Association of Realtors. I could point to his past and present community service and in-depth knowledge of issues facing Lake County. But, many people know that already. What people may not know is Rory has had experience that can directly compare to County Commissioner. He was elected to five consecutive 2-year terms on the Waianae Coast Board in Honolulu, Hawaii. There he served as liaison between 45,000 residents and city, county, state, federal, military agencies and the office of Hawaiian affairs. He served as chairman of the board and chairman of the planning and zoning committee. He also worked on the Citizens Committee for the development of Kapolei, a city of 125,000 residents, from infrastructure to the development of commercial and residential areas. These are the facts and when coupled with Rory’s tenacity to achieve results, I know that Rory is exactly what we need for Lake County. Please join me and elect Rory Horning as Lake County Commissioner.
