Movie shown at Friday night library event
POLSON — On Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, at 6 p.m. a family friendly movie (PG or PG-13) will be shown at the North Lake County Public Library. Movies are shown on the first Friday of each month. Check our website: www.northlakecountylibrary.org. You must be in the library before 6 p.m. to attend, as the doors lock at 6 p.m. You are welcome to bring your own non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. Popcorn will be provided. This program is free and open to the public.

Join classic country jammin’
POLSON — Join classic country jammin’ at the Elks on Main Street for a great afternoon of music and fun on Sunday, Jan. 5, from 1-4 p.m. Bring your guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, autoharp, base, keyboard, drum, sax, etc., and come join us for a few hours of jamming and dancing on Sunday afternoon.
If you plan to play, you must bring your own instrument. This is a new jam that will be at the Elks every first Sunday of each month.
There is a cover charge of $5 for those coming to dance or listen. Dress is casual. For more information, call 406-883-3130 or 406-260-6590.

Adult coloring program goes ‘South of the Border’
POLSON — On Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020, from 2-3:30 p.m., the North Lake County Public library will offer an adult coloring program entitled, “South of the Border.” The holidays are over and everyone is ready to head south for some sunshine and warmer temperatures. Let’s make our own heat right here in the library and have some fun with an activity full of vibrant color, Latin rhythm and spicy snacks. We provide the coloring supplies or you may bring your own. Cha-cha-cha!

Fun movement to music planned at library
POLSON — “Movin’ to the Music” will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 5-6 p.m. at the North Lake County Public Library. The holidays are over, winter is truly here and you know you need to move your body … is there any way to make this fun? We here at the library think so. We invite you to join us premiering a new kind of program called “Movin’ to the Music.” Drawing inspiration from a variety of sources, this multi-generational family-friendly hour of movement will explore several ways of incorporating gentle movement and music. It’s colorful. It’s rhythmic. It’s what January needs. Wear comfy shoes.
Join the fun, come dance
POLSON — Please join us for the community dance at the Elks on Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 7-10 p.m. in the ballroom. Music is provided by Ken’s Country Combo playing a variety of country and vintage rock and roll. This is our birthday dance where we celebrate birthdays for this month complete with a birthday cake. No Elks membership is required. The cover charge is $5. Come and check us out.
Rural Fire District Board to meet - Date change
POLSON – The regular monthly meeting of the Polson Rural Fire District Board of Trustees will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020, at 6 p.m. at the fairgrounds station No. 1, 25-B Regatta Rd. The agenda is available on the Monday prior to the meeting on the website: lakemt.gov/prfd.

Barron to speak
POLSON — Lake County Commissioner Bill Barron will speak at the next Kiwanis Club meeting at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, at the KwaTaqNuk. Barron will give an update on the current affairs in Lake County.
