Learn about herbs
POLSON — The next gathering of the “Thyme for Herbs Group” will be Monday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. in the North Lake County Public Library meeting room, 2 First Ave. E. The topic will be: “Herbs and Beyond,” and information about health, homeopathy and extending herb value. Anyone interested in learning to use herbs and other natural remedies is invited to join us. Pasty lunch on Election Day
POLSON — On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 4, the Polson Presbyterian Church, across from Linderman School at 301 4th Ave. E., is holding a pasty lunch from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The lunch includes a homemade pasty with gravy, salad, vegetable, cake and beverage and costs $6 for adults and $3 for children. All of the proceeds go to missions and outreach. Please vote, and then have a wonderful pasty lunch at the Polson Presbyterian Church.

POLSON — On Nov. 5, Polson School District will hold a facilities meeting at 1 p.m. at the Polson Schools District Office, 111 Fourth Ave. E.
Ken’s Country Combo to entertain dancers
POLSON — The community dance on Wednesday, Nov. 5, will be held at the Elks from 7-10 p.m. The dance will feature Ken’s Country Combo with their brand of wonderful tunes to entertain. Treats are welcome.

Express concerns to newly elected legislators
POLSON — The public is invited to a post-election panel with the newly elected Lake County delegation to the legislature on Thursday, Nov. 6, from 6:30-8 p.m. at the North County Public Library meeting room. This is an opportunity for citizens to communicate their concerns, prior to the January session of the Montana legislature, to the two newly elected Senators and three representatives from Lake County. Moderator of the panel is County Commissioner Bill Barron. Once senators and representatives are elected, they represent all of us regardless of Party. This meeting is sponsored by the Lake County Republicans.

Bazaar to include apple dumplings
POLSON — First United Methodist Church of Polson will hold their annual fall bazaar and luncheon on Friday, Nov. 7. The ever-popular apple dumpling is again the menu highlight. Soup and sandwiches topped off with a dumpling and ice cream are served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Art, homemade crafts and bake goods are sold from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

All invited to MVCA’s Holiday Market
POLSON — On Saturday, Nov. 8, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., the Mission Valley Christian Academy will host their second annual holiday market. Photographers will be taking family portraits, which will be burned to a CD for only $55. The pictures are yours to print however you wish. Books sold at Linderman Library
POLSON — The Linderman School Library will be holding their annual Scholastic Book Fair in the Linderman Library on Nov. 11 from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Nov. 12 from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Nov. 13 from 7:30 a.m.-7 p.m. The book fair is a fundraiser for the library to purchase more books plus it is a great opportunity for parents to do a little Christmas shopping and for kids to pick up some of the newest books on the market in children’s literature.
Veterans Day assembly
Veterans Day Assembly at Linderman School at 9 am in the Gym. We wish to extend a special invitation to the veterans who are family members of our students, and the greater Polson Community. Learn about birds of winter
POLSON — Jim Rogers will present the “Winter Birds of the Mission Valley” at the next Mission Mountain Audubon program on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. in the Polson Library meeting room. The slide presentation will introduce the wide variety of birds that may be observed in our area this winter. Jim is a lifelong birder who teaches bird classes and leads field trips to see birds. Everyone is welcome.
Learn about early steam boating on Flathead Lake
POLSON — A monthly free program takes place the second Thursday of each month at the Miracle of America Museum in Polson. Everyone is welcome on Nov. 13, at 6:30 p.m. for the showing of the documentary film “Smoke on the Waters,” a movie about the early days of steam boating on Flathead Lake. Knutson to speak at Pachyderm meeting
POLSON — Polson’s mayor, Heather Knutson, will speak on “What’s New in the City of Polson,” at the Friday, Nov. 14, meeting of the Lake County Pachyderm Club. The group gets together at 11:30 a.m. for a social time. The meeting starts at noon and adjourns at 1 p.m. The group meets at the Polson Rural Fire Hall on Regatta Road near the fairgrounds. Anyone interested in learning more about the issues facing Polson is cordially invited to attend the meeting.

Church garage sale to fund church projects
POLSON — A multi-family garage sale is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 15, at the United Methodist Church in Polson, 301 Sixteenth Ave. E. Doors will open at 8 a.m. and close at 3 p.m. Food will be available for purchase. The church is open from 1-5 p.m. through Friday of this week to receive items for the garage sale. Hunter’s Widow Bazaar returns
POLSON — The third annual Hunter’s Widow Holiday Bazaar will take place on Sunday, Nov. 16, at the Elks Lodge, 512 Main Street, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Get an early start on all of your shopping needs! All kinds of vendors will showcase their items in one convenient location. Admission is free but nonperishable food donations will be collected.
All money raised from vendor table fees and food donations will be divided and go to the Ronan Bread Basket and Polson Loaves and Fishes Pantry.
