POLSON — The Community Dance will take place from 7-10 p.m. on March 1 at the Elks Club in Polson. Ken’s Country Combo will play for western night.
Learn the Art of Zen Meditation
POLSON — Special montly Zen Meditation Classes are being offered at the YogaHeart Studio, 314 Main Street, on Wednesday, March 1, March 29 and May 3 at 7 p.m. Zen Priest Jerry Smyers will present the classes. Library holds winter reading program through March 19
POLSON — Keep the winter blues away by escaping with a good book (or seven). The North Lake County Public Library is holding a winter reading program for adults and teens. You can stop into the library beginning Wednesday, Dec. 21, to pick up your Bingo-style reading log or print it from our Facebook page. Successfully complete seven squares on your winter Bingo card and then cards will be entered into a drawing in April. The winter reading program will run from Dec. 21-March 19. Library to host humanities program
POLSON — North Lake County Public Library will host the Montana Conversations program, “American Art and American Democracy: It All Comes Together in Jazz,” with musician Wilbur Rehmann on Wednesday, March 8. The program will be in the meeting room at 5:30 p.m. The presentation is free.
Polson Rural Fire Board to meet
POLSON — The regular monthly meeting of the Polson Rural Fire District Board of Trustees will take place Wednesday, March 8, at 7 p.m. at the Fairgrounds Station No. 1 meeting room, 25-B Regatta Road.

Masumola Club celebrates St. Patrick’s Day
POLSON — The Masumola Club meets on Thursday, March 9. The birds are singing in the trees and so should you. So please add the 9th to your social calendar. We gather at 5:40 p.m. with dinner to follow and a brief meeting thereafter. Hosts will provide corned beef and potatoes and carrots. It will be a St. Patrick’s Day theme. Please consider bringing Irish themed dishes. Suggested food distribution: A – H dessert; I – O salad or vegetable; P – Z hot dish.

Biostation director to talk about invasive species
POLSON — Tom Bansak, aquatic ecologist and Assistant Director at the Flathead Lake Biological Station, will speak at the Friday, March 10, meeting of the Lake County Pachyderm Club beginning at noon at the Polson Rural Fire Department Building on Regatta Road. The title of his talk is “Shrimp, Salmon, Trout and Mussels: Invasive Seafood Chowder in Flathead Lake.”
