Pastor, Rabbi provide presentation
POLSON — “ A Community’s Response to Hate,” a presentation by former pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church David Rommereim, and Rabbi Allen Secher of Whitefish where the Jewish Community experienced a cyber attack. The community is invited for the May 19 presentation at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 409 Fourth Ave. E. The event begins at 10:15 a.m. after regular services.

Meet, greet at Polson Airport
POLSON — The Wednesday, May 22, EAA Chapter 1122 meet and greet/“Burger Burn,” is open to all interested in airplanes, learning to fly, or participating in local aviation events or fly-outs. Come join us at our meet and greet meeting with burgers. We meet at the Polson airport FBO at 6 p.m. for burgers. Meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.
Whitefish Credit Union details ‘Shred Day’
POLSON — The Polson Whitefish Credit Union, (110 Third Ave.), will hold their annual “Shred Day” on Wednesday, May 22, from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Our Shred Day event is free to all Credit Union members and the public. Bring any unwanted paper documents, especially ones containing personal and confidential information, to one of our event locations to have your materials safely and securely destroyed on-site at no charge. Shredding is first come, first served. When the trucks are full, shredding will no longer be available. Family-friendly movie shown at library
POLSON — Bring your own non-alcoholic beverages and snacks to the North Lake County Library on May 24. The library will provide popcorn while you enjoy a family-friendly movie at 6 p.m. Don’t be late as the doors get locked. POLSON — The North Lake County Public Library will be closed in observance of Memorial Day.
Memorial parade on tap
POLSON — The Memorial Day Parade will assemble at the Elks Club on Main Street between 9-9:30 a.m. with step-off time at noon. The parade will go down Main Street and turn to end at First Citizens Bank. Polson Flathead Lake Museum on Main Street will offer free ice cream and a 20 percent discount on admission fees.

POLSON — “The Great Gray Owl.” by Denver Holt, will be Mission Mountain Audubon Society’s educational program on Wednesday, May 29, at 7 p.m. in the North Lake County Public Library in the meeting room. Everyone is welcome.

Annual potluck, campout to be final accordion jam
POLSON/LONEPINE — There will not be an accordion jam on Sunday, June 2, due to our annual campout and potluck being held on May 31 and June 1, at Lonepine Community Center, off of Highway 28. All are welcome. There is a big blue building on the east side of the highway, turn west and follow to the campgrounds. You will go past a cemetery. The main dinner will be on June 1 at around 4 or 5 p.m. Dancing starts around noon each day. For more information call Ellen at 406-883-3130. We will not be resuming the regular accordion jams at the Elks as the association decided on May 20 to disband. Hope to see you in Lonepine for the final jam.
Fifth Friday dinner held
POLSON – Polson Community Church, located at 1814 First Street E, will have their Fifth Friday Night Dinner on May 31 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Dinner will consist of pork roast, potatoes and gravy, broccoli, salad and a wonderful array of desserts. No offering expected or accepted. Please come and join us for a wonderful night of food and friendship.
Used book sale at library
POLSON — The North Lake County Public Library District’s Friends of the Library are holding a huge used book sale on Friday, May 31, and Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy browsing through hundreds of used books, DVDs and audiobooks, all at bargain prices. Fundraising items include the new Friends of the Library canvas book bags and T-shirts available for $15. Fill a bag with books for only $5. Refreshments will be served. All proceeds and contributions from this event will go toward the Friends’ support of the library’s programs and projects. The sale will be in the large meeting room at the library, 2 First Ave. E.
