Celebrate ‘Race Unity Day’ in Ronan
RONAN — “Race Unity Day” has been celebrated on the second Sunday of June since 1957. So once again, we, the Bahá’ís of the Flathead Indian Reservation, invite you to join us for this celebration. The Race Unity picnic will take place on Sunday, June 9, from noon- 3 p.m. at the picnic shelter in the Ronan City Park (on Eisenhower Street). This will be a family-friendly event. Literacy, math classes taught at RMS
RONAN — Ronan Middle School students (grades 5-8) may attend literacy and math classes at RMS from 9 a.m.-noon, Monday-Friday, from June 10-28. There will be a couple of special activities included.
RHS credit recovery program begins
RONAN — Ronan High School students may attend HS credit recovery summer school. Two separate sessions will run: June 10-28 and Aug. 5-23. Both sessions are from 9 a.m.-noon, Monday-Friday.
RHS summer camps offered
RONAN — Afternoon HS summer camps are from June 10-28 from 12:30-3:30 p.m. All camps are free.
RMS holds summer camps
RONAN — Ronan Middle School students (grades 5-8) may attend afternoon summer camps (with priority given to morning summer school students). Afternoon camps are from 12:30-3:30 p.m. and include: Salish language, STEM, swimming and more.

Quilt show plans finalized at meeting
RONAN — The Mission Mountain Quilt Guild will hold their regular meeting on Tuesday, June 11, a week later, at the Terrace Lake Community Church at 6:30 p.m. Plans for the quilt show will be finalized and the next class coming up in September will be discussed. Refreshments will be provided by Colleen F., Nancy R., Linda T. and Debbie F. Also, don’t forget your show-and-tell items.

RONAN —The Ronan VFW Auxiliary 5652 will meet on Wednesday, June 12, at the VFW Hall at 6:30 p.m.

Join busy day happening at Ronan Library
RONAN — Come to the Ronan Library at 10 a.m. to see Skeeter the clown from the Culpepper and Merriweather Circus. Skeeter will make balloon items and teach you some clowning secrets. From 11 a.m.-2 p.m. you can craft a gift for Father’s Day. Stop by and make a special gift for someone who could use a smile. Registration for the first day of the “Universe of Stories” summer reading program will take place from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Register and receive a reading log to keep track of your reading and win cool prizes too.

Salish Camp offered at KWH through June 21
RONAN — K.W. Harvey Elementary School will offer a “Salish Language Camp” from June 17-21 from 9 a.m. – noon.

‘Chainsaw Carving Rendezvous’ held
RONAN — From Thursday, June 20, until Sunday, June 23, a “Chainsaw Carving Rendezvous” will be held at the Lake County Fairgrounds from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. The event includes a Dutch oven class at 11 a.m.; the Cheff Ranch Legacy Outfitters from 2-6 p.m.; a carving seminar starts at 6 p.m.; the Farmers Market will be open from 4-7 p.m. and a carving auction will take place at 7 p.m. Watch all the action and see some amazing works of art by chainsaw carvers from across the U.S. Craft and food vendors, a beer garden, lumberjack log milling, and the CSKT Forestry and Fire Departments will also be on site.
