Heart to Heart to play
POLSON — Heart to Heart will play at the Wednesday, Jan. 14, Community Dance at the Elks. The dance is scheduled from 7-10 p.m. Please bring your friends and keep the treats coming.
Plan to visit PAT in Arlee
ARLEE — The Parents as Teachers program of the Lake County Public Health Department will sponsor a Playgroup at the Hangin’ Art Gallery in Arlee on Wednesday, Jan. 14, from 10-11:30 a.m. Pregnant and parenting moms and their children who under 5 years old are invited to come visit and learn more about the Parents as Teachers program. Dads are invited, as well.
There will be free activities, information and snacks provided. The program provides twice monthly home visits with activities for children from birth to age five, screenings, information and referrals. For more information, call the Lake County Public Health Department at (406) 883-7209.
Resource Roundtable to meet
POLSON — Resource Roundtable will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at noon in the Lake County Health Department meeting room.
The meeting topic will be: “Why Do People Stay in Abusive Relationships?” Lunch will be served.

Black tie supper planned
NINEPIPES — Mark your calendar for The Ninepipe Museum’s 15th annual “Black Tie Dinner” on Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Allentown Restaurant. Wendy Woollett will bring a 20-minute segment of “The Montana Monologs” starring Gretchen Spiess, and Paul Kelley will provide the tunes. Black ties are always optional. RONAN — Mission Valley Sub-network of the Missoula Women’s Network will hold a meeting at the Lake County Community Development Building, 407 W Main Street, on Thursday Jan. 15, from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. Speaker for the meeting will be Judy Preston, Judy Preston Consulting, owner of Skill Builders, LLC, a business development company specializing in leadership consulting, training and coaching. Music artists to put on Friday night show
POLSON — Finley Point Grill will present Billy Peterson (Grammy Hall of Fame artist on Bob Dylan album “Blood on the Tracks” and “Tangled Up in Blue”) plus long time bassist for the Steve Miller Band, Ben Sidran, Hang Dynasty, Les Paul etc. in a show on Friday, Jan 16.

Red Cross calls for donors at blood drive
RONAN — The American Red Cross with be at St. Luke Community Hospital on Thursday, Jan. 22, for our semi-annual blood drive from 11 a.m.-4:45 p.m. Donating blood is a simple thing to do, but it can make a big difference in the lives of others. Cinemafest returns to Polson
POLSON — The Flathead Lake International Cinemafest is scheduled for Jan. 23-25, 2015, in Polson.
Break out the special eyeglasses or shades for the festival kick-off, a “Spectacular Spectacle” themed opening party, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 23, at the KwaTaqNuk Resort. Film screenings begin at 8 p.m., Friday at the Showboat Cinemas and continue through Sunday, Jan. 25, with an awards/closing party. The three-day program includes film screenings of domestic and international features, shorts and documentaries of all genres.

BIG ARM — The Big Arm Association is holding their January Potluck at the historic Big Arm School on Friday, Jan. 23. Please bring one of your favorite dishes to share.
