Montana artists' show at Hangin' Art Gallery through Oct. 24
ARLEE — Karen Goulet, director of the Salish Kootenai Art Department, will be the featured artist at the Killdeer Artisans’ Guild summer show. The show presents new works from Montana artists at Hangin’ Art Gallery in Arlee. The show will remain up until Oct. 24.
Group discusses pipeline repair

Booster Club holds dinner, auction, dance
POLSON — The Polson Booster Club will hold a Calcutta Dinner Auction and Dance on Saturday, Oct. 4 at Polson Airport Hanger number six. Cocktails are at 6 p.m., dinner is at 7 p.m. and the auction begins at 8 p.m. “Grills Gone Wild” will cater the dinner and music will be provided by Southern Comfort.
Dinner tickets are $25 and they include dinner, the silent auction, and the 50/50 raffle. There will be $50 Calcutta bidding tickets available. All money raised will go to stadium improvements.
D’Aste club to raise funds

Young pianist to play at CD release in Ronan
Tiana Crist, a 6th-grade Valley View student, will play music from her newly-released CD of 10 original piano compositions, "Heart of Shalom," Sunday, Oct. 5 from 3-5 p.m. at The Red Poppy in Ronan. CDs will also be available to purchase, and proceeds will be used toward her next album.

History of flags presented

Horsemen hold Octoberfest Supper

RONAN — The Mission Mountain Quilt Guild will hold their October meeting on Oct. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Terrace Lake Community Church, 35663 Terrace Lake Road. Investigate birds, climate change
POLSON — “Birds, Climate Change, and Us” by Amy Cilimburg, a wildlife biologist and the Director of Bird Conservation and Climate Policy for Montana Audubon, will be presented the Mission Mountain Audubon’s program on Thursday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. in the Polson Library meeting room. Everyone is welcome. Amy will take a deeper look into the Audubon report, the largest and most comprehensive examination of birds and climate change ever. Learn about Martin Luther’s life, legacy
RONAN — Pastor Seth Nelson of Faith Lutheran Church will offer a free, three-week course entitled “Martin Luther and his Legacy.” The course will cover the history of Martin Luther’s life and work and the reformation movement, which he started. The courses will be held on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. in the basement, (Fellowship Hall), of Faith Lutheran Church on Oct. 9, 16 and 23. These courses are free to the public and all are welcome. Movie, smoke jumper artifacts highlighted

Fish and Wildlife Board to hear report
MOIESE — The Flathead Reservation Fish and Wildlife Board will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at the National Bison Range Headquarters in Moiese. The Board will hear reports from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service regarding 2014 accomplishments under the State/Tribal agreement and plans for 2015.
