People’s Center to offer Youth Dance classes

Free grief support group offered through March 31
POLSON — Providence St. Joseph Medical Center is offering a free Bereavement Support Group, an eight-week series for adults grieving the death of a loved one. The group includes education about grief and loss and provides participants an opportunity to share their experiences. It is recommended that participants wait at least two months after a death before attending a group. This group is free and open to the public. Donations are appreciated.
The group will meet from 4-5:30 p.m. each Thursday, Feb. 11- March 31, in the O’Malley conference room on the second floor of

Ronan adult education offers active choices through March 31
RONAN — Ronan School District adult education winter session is on. The walking track and weight room at the Ronan Middle School Event Center will be open Monday-Thursday at 6 a.m.- 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. The K. William Harvey Gym will be open for the community to play basketball on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m., beginning Jan. 26 and ending March 15. The Event Center will be open for the community to play volleyball on Wednesday nights from 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m., beginning Jan. 27 and ending March 16. Children’s Choir presents final concert
RONAN — Mission Valley Children’s Choir will present its final concert of its first year on Monday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the Ronan Performing Arts Center. The Ronan Adult Education Choir will join the children’s choir at the concert. Cathy Gillhouse directs both choirs. The adult choir is accompanied by Wendy Sanders and the children’s choir is also directed by Seth Nelson and accompanied by Robyn Carlson. The concert is free of charge.

Join benefit for SKC music program
PABLO — The second annual “Strum and Drum” benefit concert will be presented by the Salish Kootenai College Foundation and Crown of the Continent Guitar Foundation on Wednesday, March 9, at the Johnny Arlee/Victor Charlo Theatre on the SKC Campus. POLSON — “Thyme for Herbs” will meet Monday, March 14, at 7 p.m. in the North Lake County Public Library in Polson. We are inviting all new people who are interested in learning how to use herbs to enhance their health. The main topic will be: The Many Faces of Herbs.

‘The Princess Bride’ to be performed in Ronan
RONAN — “The Princess Bride” is going to be performed onstage on March 15 and 16 in the Ronan Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. both nights.
The play is based on the 1987 film and book by William Goldman and includes scaling the cliffs of insanity, battling rodents of unusual size, facing torture in the Pit of Despair. True love has never been a snap. Come see this classic story of love, adventure, and humor.
There is no charge but a canned good donation is suggested. Collected canned goods will be donated to the Ronan Bread Basket.

Public barbecue held for School District No. 28
