Winter birds return to feeders

DIXON — It’s turned into a lovely, long fall; just what I’d hoped for. I’m still planting spring bulbs, knowing how welcome they will be after winter’s sleep. Winter birds, such as Steller’s Jays, are returning to the birdfeeders; and of course, the trees are in their fall splendor. In November all veterans and their extended family members can take the AARP Safe Driving class for no charge. It is a four-hour class on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 9 a.m., in Dixon.
