ELMO — Victor Lefthand, 80, of Elmo, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011. Victor was born on April 26, 1931 in Nirada, Mont., son of Basil Lefthand, Sr., and Coomsah Morigeau. Victor is preceded in death by both parents, wife Mary Couture; sisters Theresa Lefhand and Harriet Lefthand; and brother Samuel Lefthand. Survivors include daughters Verna Lefthand and Lauren Lefthand; sisters Saraphine Bufton, Amelia Lefthand, Anistasia Finley, Susan Dowdall, Mary Lefthand and Dianna Andrews; brothers Nick Lefthand, August Lefthand, and Basil Lefthand, Jr.; grandson Brandon James, who Victor raised like his own son; and great-grandchildren, Olijah and Tyrell James.
