We would like to thank all of the people who helped us really become Willard’s. Over the last 35 plus years, Willard’s has evolved into more than a building, more than a bar, more than a business. It has become an extended family - as our kids call it “the bar family.” We’ve been privileged to have our lives intertwine with yours. We’ve made new friends and lost too many old friends. We’ve watched each other’s kids and now grandkids grow up, shared personal triumphs as well as tragedies. We’ve helped each other out when the need arises. Guess you could say, we’re all there for each other. We feel so lucky to be a part of this circle of fine folks. We have swapped produce and books, stories and jokes, recipes and food. We’ve rung in many a New Year and seen you get crazy at Halloween. We’ve had art shows and fundraisers. We’ve cheered on the Griz and tolerated you watching the Cats on TV. Through it all, none of this would have happened without you. So to all our family, friends, beer men, girls at the liquor store, the town of Ronan, and especially Rob McGreevey, a heartfelt thank you.
We hope the Willard’s family will endure, even though the bar is changing hands. We hope you make Mike and his family part of your family. We wish him the best. And Mike, thanks for keeping the Christmas balls. We don’t have room for 3,000 ornaments.
