Hateful mind-sets destroying America

In America, there is a ground swell of discontent in the minds of many. It involves the mind-sets of American leadership and those of us who put those people in power. Politically, it affects every idea, every piece of legislation, and every decision our nation makes.
A mind-set is simply our habitual way of thinking and responding to life around us. It becomes very obvious in our political system, and gets tremendous publicity in that arena. It exists, with less publicity, in our churches, our schools, our clubs, our communities and our families. Negative mind-sets and the resulting actions often become the very foundation of many forms of our entertainment, both for adults and our youth.
Look at the harsh judgments so many of us have toward people of other religions and ethnic groups. Consider our willingness to “paint the broad brush” of hate, fear and distrust to a whole religious or ethnic group based just upon the horrible actions of a few connected with that religion or ethnic group. Look at the results of “the love of money” overriding and controlling everything else. As we keep going down this road, we are destroying America The Beautiful in mind, body and spirit.
This is offered as a subject for thought and discussion. I feel this is a core issue in our personal lives, the life of our community, country and world.
