Thankful for teachers

Editor, I would like to take this opportunity to extend my deepest appreciation to the Ronan Middle School sixth grade teaching staff. They show exemplary qualities in their teaching skills, styles and true caring about their students on an individual basis. Throughout our 11 years in the Ronan School District, we have had many high quality teachers but this year really seemed to shine. From a parent’s standpoint, this is so much more appreciated than you will ever know. When a child feels happy about getting up and going to school each day, he knows he is in a safe place with teachers he can look up to and confide in, that relieves so much anxiety when we as parents deliver our...

And despite the big or not so big, some are moments that will affect you for years to come or perhaps your entire life. They can be obviously monumental moments – a marriage, divorce, birth of a ch...

Editor, This letter contains a poem. It is not in poetic form but can be read as such. It was composed on Memorial Day as I was viewing and hearing all the emotions that are connected with me as an 88-year-old former Army soldier. My earlier years, during WWII, made a very significant impression upon m...

The Montana Supreme Court held a meeting on Tuesday, May 28, to select the chairman of the districting commission.
